Intensive Outpatient Program

Intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) are treatment programs that address various disorders such as depression, anxiety, emotional problems, addiction, and more. Unlike inpatient programs, IOPs do not require participants to live at a facility; they are able to go home at the end of each day. IOPs are more time-intensive than standard outpatient programs, often requiring participants to commit to 3 days a week for a few hours at a time. By increasing the number of hours and frequency a participant receives treatment, we can help get their mental state to a manageable level faster, allowing them to transition to less-intensive treatment programs.

At Nelmar Health Centers, your condition, severity, and goals will all help shape what your IOP care plan looks like. Every treatment program we offer begins with a complete neuropsychological, psychological, and physical evaluation for diagnostic purposes. Your diagnostic evaluation will include a detailed brain imaging session to learn how your brain functioning may be contributing to your mental state. This information will then be used to build a comprehensive care plan, looking at every aspect of your life to understand what holistic treatments will help you the most. When treating a client’s mental health holistically, we combine treatments to have the best impact on their entire psychological and physical health. Our treatments include:

  • Individual Therapy

  • Group Therapy

  • Neurofeedback and Cognitive Rehabilitation

  • Holistic Wellness

  • Mindfulness

  • Exercise

  • Yoga and Meditation
